Finding the Girl is a series of images taken with a Holga on 120 and 220 medium format film. It spans several years, and depicts a young girl experiencing some of the most memorable events of childhood. The photographs recreate the feeling of recalling these childhood memories, how the images in your mind suddenly snap into focus so sharply that you can feel the light and hear the wind. The long strip of overlapped frames create areas that stop, start, and fade into one another, in a way that illustrates the halting and vague characteristics of recollection.
