Nikki Burke shoots a lot of film. She has an odd collection of plastic film cameras that are always in her camera bag, and a digital set-up that is not. She shoots 35mm, 120, and sometimes (very) expired 220. Her images are soft and painterly, referencing and making the most of available light. The photographs often pay homage to the photography by including sprocket holes and overlapping frames.

Nikki currently lives with her daughter in Salem, Oregon, where she enjoys taking her dog for walks and photographing around town, weather permitting! She is currently a practicing artist and spends a lot of time scanning negatives this time of year. Nikki  is looking forward to enjoying the light of another gorgeous summer in the Pacific Northwest.
